At the Edinburgh Book Festival this year…

This year’s lecture at the Edinburgh International Book Festival will be given by Cressida Cowell on Friday August 25th.

Cressida Cowell is an outspoken advocate of the need to get kids reading for pleasure.  The lecture will be introduced by the Trust’s Chair of Trustees Tony Bradman.

The night before there will be a ‘reading’ of Siobhan’s story the Pavee and the Buffer Girl by award-winning Irish singer Geraldine Bradley with live illustrations by Emma Shoard. (The apostrophes are because ‘reading’ doesn’t do Geraldine’s rendition – which weaves Irish traveller songs and Siobhan’s powerful text – justice!)

Hope to see you at both!

You can book tickets for the lecture here… and tweet about it using the hashtag #SDowd17
